About this speaker

Anna Lartey is currently a Professor of Nutrition at the University of Ghana. She was the Director of Nutrition at FAO, Rome, Italy (2013- 2020). Prior to that, she was a Professor of Nutrition at the University of Ghana (1986-2013) where she received the Best Researcher Award in 2004 for her work in maternal and child nutrition. She was the President of the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (2013-2017) and a Fulbright fellow (1994-1998) at UC-Davis, USA. Anna was awarded the Sight and Life Nutrition Leadership Award in 2014 and a D.Sc. honoris causa, by McGill University in 2018
