Gerda Verburg

Gerda Verburg was assigned Coordinator of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement in 2016. She previously served as Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the United Nations Organizations for Food and Agriculture in Rome. In 2014, she was appointed Chair of the Global Agenda Council for Food and Nutrition Security of the World Economic Forum (WEF). 

Between 2013 and 2015, Ms. Verburg was Chair of the United Nations Committee on World Food Security (CFS). From 2007 to 2011, she served as Speaker in the Dutch House of Representatives on economics, energy and innovation, and as Minister for Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. In 2008 she was elected Chair of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development.
