Mary Mpereh is a Social Policy and Development Planning Expert with over 20 years post masters experience spanning both private and public sectors. She is currently a deputy director and focal point for gender, population and social policy at the Development Policy Division of the National Development Planning Commission of Ghana. She also serves as the SUN technical focal point. Over the past 16 years, Mary has been working to ensure that Ghana’s development is pro-poor, gender-sensitive, socially responsive and inclusive. As SUN Technical focal point, her passion and drive has been towards ensuring that food and nutrition security attains visibility and right of place in Ghana’s development and mainstreamed at all levels of the national development planning system. as a critical factor in harnessing Ghana’s demographic dividend, which she also champions as part of her portfolio.
